Adium: the only IM client

Well, this is a bit different from my normal posts, however I have just installed the new version of Adium and have been playing around with it. Now, most of the features I have just discovered have been available for what I should imagine is a while, but new to me.

Now, nearly everything here is customisable, however I do not have that kind of time on my hands so I am just using defaults, which really kick ass! Ahem. Anyways, I am about to install Growl so I can get some cool fading popup effects when someone sends me a message.

‘Gotta love the Mac!

Update: Installed growl last night, and added a few apps to it this morning before work (Adium, CyberDuck, Colloquy, and a few others I can’t quite remember right now.

Smultron isn’t a bad text editor. It will integrate with CyberDuck. I have used Adium myself as well as aMSN. I wouldn’t recommend aMSN these days as being built on Tcl/Tk leads it to have inherent flaws in each version which cannot be fixed. Growl is quite nifty. Integrates well with CyberDuck too. I also tend to use VLC to play video’s over QuickTime. Not much is installed on my mac currently as I have recently set it up with Mac OS X Server.
