Taking my personal site to new heights October 16th, 2009
I’ve always been one to grow tired of my personal blog layouts. Knowing this I deliberately started with an almost blank canvas ready for me to add little details here and there. Well, you’re looking at the result after a smidgen of just that.
The header remains pretty much untouched (apart from renaming the ‘Articles’ link to ‘Archive’ and fixing a rendering issue with that there RSS icon) with the main change coming in the way the posts are structured—it’s transformed into a journal where I can write little snippets about interesting things from exploring the vastness of the Interwebs, intertwined with my own articles stepping in to say: “Hello! I am still alive and still have an opinion.”
The footer has been updated to reflect the different ways you can navigate a blog (timeline and categories) with some obligatory links thrown in for good measure, to enlarge my own ego and to some my work and friends.
If you’re using a computer with the font Myriad Pro installed then count yourself lucky—everyone else, I’m sorry, is viewing it in Arial. All-in-all, I’m somewhat pleased with the direction the site is taking. But don’t fear, there will be plenty more little tweaks springing forth in the months to come, I’m sure. Comments welcome, as always.
