When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, and I am not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me,
I know how much you love me as much as I love you,
And each time you think of me I know you’ll miss me too.

The British Political System is in Turmoil
There’s no way around it. Labour’s up the creek without a paddle, the Conservatives sole policy is to attack Labour and the Lib Dens are lagging behind, as per usual. And now we have the British National Party.
I can’t believe some people. Even thinking of disallowing the BNP onto a political show when they have elected MEP’s because they don’t agree with some of their views, or arguing that they are not a legitimate party? Sorry, but they are already a legitimate party obtaining around one-million votes in the European Elections. That’s one-million people who agreed with some or all of their policies. So you don’t want them to have the right to platform their views? That sounds very Communist and like the Nazis to me. Oh, wait a minute…
I thought we lived in a democratic country where freedom of speech existed. Incidentally, QuestionTime even went on to say that freedom of speech was the cornerstone of our society whilst talking about the Daily Mail/Gately article.

Taking my personal site to new heights
I’ve always been one to grow tired of my personal blog layouts. Knowing this I deliberately started with an almost blank canvas ready for me to add little details here and there. Well, you’re looking at the result after a smidgen of just that.
The header remains pretty much untouched (apart from renaming the ‘Articles’ link to ‘Archive’ and fixing a rendering issue with that there RSS icon) with the main change coming in the way the posts are structured—it’s transformed into a journal where I can write little snippets about interesting things from exploring the vastness of the Interwebs, intertwined with my own articles stepping in to say: “Hello! I am still alive and still have an opinion.”
The footer has been updated to reflect the different ways you can navigate a blog (timeline and categories) with some obligatory links thrown in for good measure, to enlarge my own ego and to some my work and friends.
If you’re using a computer with the font Myriad Pro installed then count yourself lucky—everyone else, I’m sorry, is viewing it in Arial. All-in-all, I’m somewhat pleased with the direction the site is taking. But don’t fear, there will be plenty more little tweaks springing forth in the months to come, I’m sure. Comments welcome, as always.
P.S. There are a few hidden nuggets around the site, happy exploring!

Javascript Tidy
One thing I often need to do is to tidy javascript from it’s packed state. Often to fix the developers bugs, add new features or to modify it slightly. I give you, the Javascript Tidy, a tool I couldn’t live without.
jQuery Slider plugin (Safari style)
A pretty awesome slider. Haven’t tried it out yet but the new version seems pretty easy to skin, so you can style it however-the-hell you want (note: click the ‘jQuery Slider update’ link).
